KSS has provided ongoing architectural advisory and technical support in a range of option, feasibility and project delivery roles at the former Olympic Stadium since 2008.
The initial consultation assisted in delivering in the four retractable seating stands to allow reconfiguration for football, athletics and concerts.
KSS then started discussions with LLDC and MLB regarding potential baseball planning at the London Stadium in 2014. We reviewed field layout options and alternatives throughout 2014-2022 and developed a seating plan arrangement for the 2019 and 2023 MLB overlay.
Most recently, we have worked with LS185 and LLDC on reconfiguring London Stadium, delivering two new lower tier stands behind the goals and the west stand. Andy Karaiskos now leads this relationship.
We work across a diverse range of projects and take pride in consistently delivering results through strong collaboration, learning from one another and providing support to achieve the best outcomes.
“It has been a pleasure working consistently with KSS. Their technical advice and design skills have enabled us to transform London Stadium into a truly world class multi-purpose venue. The adaptive bowl is now capable of transforming from Premier League football to concerts and athletics modes more quickly enabling greater operational efficiency and significant cost saving for the stadium.”
