KSS were initially appointed by Excel London to develop and enhance its wayfinding strategy. This also included its new state-of-the-art 25,000 sqm expansion. A key element of this phase was the introduction of Excel’s branding into the built environment for the very first time, translating the identity from concept into physical form.
As part of this process, we extended the new visual brand language into a comprehensive set of wayfinding and activation graphic assets, including a bespoke family of pictograms and a suite of wayfinding maps, developed from concept through to deployment. Working in close collaboration with the client team, we created a complete sign family, now successfully installed across the new expansion and being implemented across the wider Excel estate.
Subsequently KSS have also been appointed to transform Excel’s executive event spaces. Upgrading the facilities in-line with the newly opened Maritime Suite expansion, and uplifting the venue to deliver an elevated and world class event destination experience.
